Pals, this is the story of Penny, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi local to me here in Minnesota. I actually met her at a Corgi meetup last year and she is such a sweet little dog! I met Corgi dad Zak as well, and he recently emailed me for some help for Penny. Here is Penny's story in Zak's words:
"This past weekend she became very ill and when I took her to the vet we found out there was an obstruction in her small intestine. She underwent surgery today and is now mending with the part of the tennis ball she ate removed from her.

Penny has had a rough live with surgeries. 2 ACL’s replaced and 2 molars removed. Penny is my best friend that I would do anything for. Where I go she goes. She is always with me. My heart breaks to see her in pain.

If possible could you spread this story out to all our CorgiPals out there? Time’s are tough right now and I really could use any assistance with paying some of this Vet bill that is coming my way. This would mean so much to me. Please say a Prayer for Penny tonight!"
Penny's surgery was a success, and she is now on the mend. However, Zak still needs to pay off Penny's bills at two veterinary offices... and that's where we come in! The total cost of Penny's consultation and surgery was $1,620. Let's rally together for this sweet girl and show her what Corgi Nation is made of!
