Dexter Jaymz is the CEO (Corgi Excellence Officer) of CorgiPals, Inc. He was the runt of a litter of four puppies (2 girls and 2 boys) born to proud parents Shasta and Wyatt on March 12, 2010 in Waverly, MN. I adopted him from Sandy over at Dahlhouse Kennels. I highly recommend them to anyone who lives in the area. Sandy is very nice and kept me well up-to-date on his progress after he was born.

His first name comes from the Dexter novels/Showtime series. His middle name is in honor of James Hetfield, lead singer of Metallica, my most favorite band in the whole world (he signs it Jaymz in most autographs). 

Dexter has pretty standard markings for a Corgi, but he has several "fur issues" that make him unique! He has a natural mohawk on his head, and two "butthawks" that we think compliment his Corgi pants quite nicely. He likes to play fetch, chew on rawhide bones, steal socks and rip squeaky toys to shreds. But he LOVES going on walks and playing at the dog park. Dexter is famous for his mohawk and his Napoleon Dynamite impression (yes, you read that right). He sports a blue collar because he's manly like that.

Dexter is my first dog and first Corgi. It's been an absolute joy watching him learn and grow, I can't imagine my life without him. He really is my best friend. Always excited to see me and always in the mood to play, snuggle and snooze together. We've been buddies from day one. He's the epitome of a Mama's boy.
